250 watt sub 300 watt amp?

hi guys i have a 10" kenwood 250watt rms sub with 1000 watt peakwatt SUB, and a orion AMP its 300 watt rms with a peak of 800 watt, would that do alright with out damaging my subwoofer ? can any one help me out ?? :)
