I have a swollen eyelid and I need help to get rid of it.?

A few days ago my eye had swollen up and become painful when I blinked. I went to the doctors and they said it was a cyst under the upper eyelid, so they gave me eye ointment to put on the bottom of my eye so that it can go away. But I need it to go away quickly because I have a prom the next day. Can anyone help me? How can I get rid of the swollen red sore on my eye?
