Could my nose piercing be infected?

I had my nose pierced 10 weeks ago. It healed nicely, however I felt it took longer than the normal 4 weeks. I recently switched out the ring, and now the area is red. It doesn't hurt at all, and its not swollen, but there is some yellow discharge. Is this normal? Or should I get it checked out?
